Enabling embedded videos to display in Chrome or Firefox

Welcome! In this tutorial, we will guide you to enable an embedded video to display in Chrome.

When you embed a video in your course site, you may encounter a problem with it displaying properly, especially in Chrome (or Firefox). This problem may be caused by a bug in your web browser; make sure your browser is up to date to avoid such bugs. The more likely scenario is that a setting of the web browser that blocks insecure content is preventing the video from displaying. This tutorial guides you to adjust the web browser setting to function properly.

1. Chrome

  1. Click the little shield icon at the far right side of the Navigation toolbar.
  2. Click ‘Load unsafe scripts’, and ‘Ok’.
