Welcome! In this tutorial, you will learn how to create an ISUComm Courses account. Whether you are an instructor or a student, you need to have an account before you can start using the ISUComm Courses site.
Step 1.
To create an account, go to the ISUComm Courses homepage located at http://courses.isucomm.iastate.edu and click on “Create new account” on the left-hand side of the screen, below the “Login” button.
Step 2.
Select a username and a password. Your username cannot contain spaces or non-alphanumeric characters, and it’s a good idea to use your ISU Net-ID as your username. After filling out the form, you will need to enter the words that you see in the reCAPTCHA box. If you are not sure what the words are, click on “Get another reCAPTCHA” and enter the new words. When you click on “Create my new account,” the system will automatically send a confirmation message to the email account you listed. This step ensures that only you can create an account for yourself.
Step 3.
You will now need to leave the ISUComm Courses site and check your email in order to confirm your account. When you click on the link in your email, you will be taken back to the ISUComm Courses site.
Step 4. (Optional)
You can also add information and a photo to your profile, change your password, and edit your preferences. To edit your profile, click on your name in the upper right corner and then click on “Edit Profile” tab. Once you are done editing, click “Update profile.”
Note:
If you forget your password, you can click on “Lost password,” type in your username and email address that you used to create an account, and the system will send you an email that would contain your password. Please note* If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder.
