Welcome! In this tutorial, you will learn how to enable a built-in rubric for ENGL 250. Rubrics exist for all of the major assignments, but the following instructions use “Assignment 6 (A6) Portfolio” as an example.\u00a0You do not have to turn on the editing mode for this process.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1<\/strong>. The assignment activities are located at the bottom of your course site. Click on an assignment to install its rubric.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2<\/strong>. Click \u201cAdvanced grading\u201d in\u00a0the\u00a0Administration block. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3<\/strong>. On the next page, click on change the active grading method to “Rubric,” then choose\u00a0\u201cCreate new grading form from a template.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 4<\/strong>. Select the rubric respective to the assignment you wish to grade. In this example, we would select \u201cENGL 150 & 250 Assignment: Final Portfolio\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(Print<\/strong><\/span><\/em>) Shared template<\/em>. <\/span>Please note that this rubric was officially approved by English\u00a0department.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“ENGL 150 & 250 Assignment: Final Portfolio\u00a0(Electronic)\u00a0Shared template<\/em>\u201d is the one built upon previous 250 instructors\u2019 input.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 5<\/strong>. When you find the template you wish to use, click on \u201cUse this template.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
