Welcome! In this tutorial, we will guide you to enable an embedded video to display in Chrome.
When you embed a video in your course site, you may encounter a problem with it displaying properly, especially in Chrome (or Firefox). This problem may be caused by a bug in your web browser; make sure your browser is up to date to avoid such bugs. The more likely scenario is that a setting of the web browser that blocks insecure content is preventing the video from displaying. This tutorial guides you to adjust the web browser setting to function properly.
1. Chrome
- Click the little shield icon at the far right side of the Navigation toolbar.
- Click ‘Load unsafe scripts’, and ‘Ok’.
2. Firefox
- Click on the little shield icon at the far left side of the navigation tool bar.
- Change ‘Options’ to ‘Disable protection for now’.
If you still cannot view the video, try using a different web browser.
